Originally from northern Saskatchewan, Spencer has worked as a farmer, environmental educator, project manager and agribusiness researcher in Canada and abroad. He was a Junior Fellow in the Upper West Region of Ghana working on farmer innovation in 2009. Spencer has a passion for food systems and agricultural development that grew from working at the Halifax Farmers’ Market while completing his education at Dalhousie University. He now splits his time between Toronto and Prince Edward County, where he works on food producer outreach and data procurement with Localize (www.localizeyourfood.com).
