Richard is the CEO of Riipen, an experiential education platform that transforms class assignments into relevant, skill-based, industry projects so that post-secondary students graduate with recognized employable skills and experience. Riipen is a social enterprise with the mission to eliminate graduate underemployment, which is at the highest rate in history and has been called an epidemic by the CBC and the Economist. He holds a Bachelor of International Business, an MBA, an MSc, and is currently a PhD Candidate at the University of Victoria, where he researches Social Entrepreneurship. Richard's award-winning scholarly work on this subject has been presented around the world and published in the top management education journal.
