Phoenix Place is a second stage shelter whose mission statement is to empower, educate, counsel and house women and children whose lives have been affected by domestic violence.  Through experiential programs, techniques, counselling and peer support, this organization has experienced great success in helping women break their cycle of violence and in going forward, they establish new independent, violence free lives.  In this session, we will share descriptions and explanations of how this organization has worked with the women who are a part of it to establish a 97% success rate in empowering women to not returning to their abusers.
