This session will explore how to make use of current research from sustainability science to inform decisions and understand complex challenges. By using a 'quadruple bottom line' approach, this session discusses how to understand the economic, social, environmental, and system effectiveness aspects of contemporary challenges and opportunities. The workshop provides an overview of different perspectives from academia and the field of practice on what sustainability is and how it can be applied, a discussion of sustainability myths, and an overview of new sustainability tools.
