The number of people living in poverty in Newfoundland and Labrador decreased by almost 38,000 between 2003 and 2013, giving the province the lowest level of poverty in the country (Stats Canada, 2013). How did we get there? We listened to our people!

In this session we'll explore the public consultation methodologies employed by the Government of NL through the Office of Public Engagement and practice using the process ourselves. After this session, you'll be equipped to bring diverse citizen voices into whatever project for positive change you are currently working on.
