Mr. Allison was first elected in 2004 and was just re-elected for the new riding of Niagara West. He has been a long-time EWB Champion, the current Deputy Critic for International Development and is the former Chair of the House of Commons Liaison Committee and the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and International Development during the 41st Parliament. In this last role he led the study of key issues affecting Canadian foreign policy, including: the protection of children and youth in developing countries, the role of the private sector in international development, as well as Canada’s response to the Ukrainian Crisis and the so-called Islamic State. He has a depth of private sector experience and served his community as President and Board Member in a number of volunteer positions, including  the West Lincoln Memorial Hospital Foundation, the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce and the Ontario Trillium Foundation.
